Bulgarelli Production obtains B Corp. certification
Bulgarelli Production, a company based in Carpi, has obtained the important B Corp certification, which recognizes the highest standards of environmental protection and social equity. This achievement is the result of the company’s solid commitment over many years towards sustainability, making it the only one in its sector to be Carbon Positive.
Quality is not just an opinion, but rather a continuous journey of research that never settles for the achieved results, instead considering them as a launchpad towards new challenges posed by the company’s philosophy and the current situation.
This is precisely the philosophy of Bulgarelli Production, which has always looked ahead, leveraging its experience to constantly innovate. This is one of the fundamental pillars on which the growth and success of the Carpi-based company rests. They design and produce tags, labels, carton complements, and micro-packaging for clothing and fashion accessories, with 75% of its turnover coming from the luxury sector. In 2022, the company registered a 65% increase with a turnover of 8 million euros, and aims to reach 10 million euros in 2024.
Passionate and forward-thinking entrepreneurial capacity, which for many years has understood that pursuing quality also means addressing the impact of its activities on society and the environment, and has therefore embarked on a path of strategies and measures that have led it to be Carbon Positive, the first in its industry, thanks to its holistic approach to sustainability.
This achievement is now recognized by the recent B Corp certification obtained by BULGARELLI PRODUCTION, through a rigorous evaluation process conducted by the non-profit organization B Lab, developing a comprehensive set of standards covering a wide range of areas, including governance, workers, customers, communities, and the environment.
Founded in 2006, B Lab is based on the idea that a new model of economy is not only possible but also necessary. An international network that promotes standards, tools, and programs to create change in business and certifies companies that show the way. B Corps are therefore companies that commit to measuring and considering their environmental and social performance with the same attention traditionally given to economic results and believe in business as a positive force that strives to create value for the biosphere and society. Today, there are 6,000 of them in the world, 200 in Italy.
For BULGARELLI PRODUCTION, the satisfaction for this new certification, which adds to the other equally important ones obtained over time, ISO 9001, ISO 14064, SA8000, FSC and OekoTex, is not so much in the recognition itself but in ensuring that it is a reliable partner in offering its customers an additional guarantee of socially and environmentally conscious products and services, and providing employees and collaborators with an important motivation to be part of a change that will have positive implications for the future.
